SUPER YURI RPG! Devlog #1 (19th July 2018)


Hello folks! Just wanted to let you guys know that I have been re-working SYRPG for a couple of weeks now!
(I'm also curious to try out itch.io's new "devlog" feature)

Currently, I'm mainly working on porting SYRPG into a new programming language (Java to Python 2) so that i can easily expand onto it in the near future (and also release the game to other Operating Systems), and while I'm at it; adding minor additions to the game.

one of these minor changes is that characters now "move" into the playing field rather than just "popping into existence"! and also; if you look REALLY closely, you can also see that the fire of the torches in the background also changed a bit! they no longer all move at the same time together anymore! My philosophy is that small changes when done correctly; and done enough times will create a "good" game.

The small numbers above when the player is in the playing screen is the amount of "ticks" passed, since I'm also working on optimizing the game as much as possible; so much so that a potato PC can run it.

Hopefully I can get really active with this "Devlog" thing; but no promises!
